The origins of this famous place started in 1927, when Norma Talmadge fell off accidentally in a wet cement that was near the Chinese Theatre and the owner of that Theatre, Sid Grauman, thought that this idea of leave the prints of the people in wet cement could be an icon in that place.

As Norma has said in her quote: “Sid dear, my wish is for your success” (Talmadge, 1927), Sid Grauman was succeeded in his idea!
